Mountains

Today we headed off to Lewistown to do Grams hair. But first we stopped in Stanford to chat with my Dad- Bob wanted to talk with him about the fire that my Dad and Lea went out on Saturday early morning. The fire burnt almost 20, ooo acres in less than 12 hrs. Holy moley, the wind was screamin! My dad is on the volunteer fire dept and was woke up around 1:30 to respond. So we got all the details on what happened. The cold front that moved in made things a little tricky due to the shifting winds but eventually the cold air and higher moisture slowed the fire down and eventually it was stopped.
On our way home from Lewistown we headed up Dry Wolf into the Little Belt Mountains so Bob could get some more water for brewing a Maibock beer tomorrow. Jager loves it up there. She ran several miles today and really enjoyed herself. These are some photos of us up in the Mtns getting water.

Then we stopped back in Stanford to chat again, and Lea, Jen & Lyla showed up just in time so we could see them all. Lyla is getting so big. Her birthday is next week and she is goin to be 2.

Superbowl

So who were you rooting for??? Bob and I were split. He wanted the Steelers and I was for the Cardinals. We had several friends over today to watch the big game. I made tons of dips and cookie bars. I should of taken more pictures but I forgot. I got too into it, and forgot. Bob was bartending at his "Dry Wolf Brew Pub" downstairs, while we all cheered and rooted on our team for the day! Jager was even a part of today. Jonathan (a friend of Bobs from work also in the pict below) played with Jager (which was more entertaining than the half time show) and he also put these 3D glasses on her.

Margarita Meltdown

Well yesterday night we attended the Margarita meltdown which was a fundraiser for Eagle Mount. It was at the Four seasons arena. They had the place decorated with Tiki huts, beach bar - with sand, and Jimmy & the parrots (like Jimmy Buffett music). We arrived first and saved a table for us all. Josh & Lindsey were with us and also our friends from Bobs work came. Lindsey brought some great accessories- grass hats & fun glasses. Bob was happy they had Negro Modello (a Mexican Lager beer) and let me tell you, he tried to drink the place dry! Its was great fun and we look forward in attending again next year!

Also last night was a special night for our friends Jim & Carmen! They got engaged! Congrats to Jim and Carmen, we wish you lots of love and happiness!

Brewing

Just wanted to share these pictures of Bob brewing outside. He is brewing a Pilsner beer this time. The one picture is him adding hops to the beer. He loves his "hoppy" beers. Brewing makes him so happy and really enjoys it! Plus it will be great, because at our New Years party we ended up drinking 2 of the 3 kegs. He also has a raspberry Lambic in the process too. It will take 6 months for that one. I have really started to like Lambic beers so he is brewing it for me! The Pilsner will only take 6 to 8 weeks. We will have to have more party's so he can brew more! Bob has a brewing blog for his Dry Wolf Brewing Co. if your interested. Check it out. He will be updating sometime soon.

Jenn is a Photographer/Scrapbooker who took these pictures and put this together for us! Its really cool. It hangs in our living room and looks great there. So I took a photo of it for our blog. Plus its fun to share this with you all. She did a great job! Thanks!

Daily Photo's

Just wanted to share this photo of Jager and also wanted to share with you all something that I am doing this year. I have committed myself into taking a Daily Photo of my life. Things that I do, see, interests, creative things, people, and just stuff at times. Basically anything that seems to strike me that day. I will be posting this on my scrapbooking/photo/creative Blog, which is Melissa's Creative design. So can click on the link here or also on the sidebar if your interested in checking it out. I love seeing people comment too!!! So feel free at anytime to comment here or there. I enjoy seeing who checks out our blogs. Anyways.....I hope to keep up with this, even though I know that I wont be able to post everyday-but I will at least try to post them regularly. But even if I'm not posting them daily, I will be snapping photos daily! Bob has also shared an interest in this, so I try to post some of his photos on here periodically.

Happy New Years

Hope you all enjoyed your New Years Eve. We had friends over and enjoyed some of Bob's homebrew (and other drinks too). He had 3 beers on tap: IPA, Kolsh, and Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We played games, snacked, and chatted with friends. I made a recipe that was for a buffalo chicken dip -and it was fabulous! The picture above is a picture of Bob's bar in the basement "man cave" with his beers on tap. Happy New Year to you all!

11 inches of new snow

Wow, what a surprise this morning! We woke up to 11 new inches of snow overnight! Bob had to go to work at 7 am this morning, and he came back in to tell me that we had a lot of new snow and then he continued to tell me 11 new inches. Oh my!! So once I got up and going this morning I decided to venture out and shovel the sidewalk and driveway. He wasnt lying. That snow is deep, plus all the snow that we currently had. So now things are definetly buried!

Merry Christmas!

Well once again Christmas is here. Its seems like so far away, and then out of the blue it appears again. Today was a great day! Early this morning Uncle Bub and Aunt Me Me (we) had to hurry to get to the house before Lyla woke up so we could see the expression on her sweet little face when she saw what Santa brought her. Santa brought her a sink, that she could play in that you put water in and it comes out the faucet. Since she loves playing in the kitchen sink in the water, I guess Santa figured she needed her own sink to play. I forgot to take pictures of it. She was such a joy today. She was so helpful with her Mommy getting all the presents to everybody. I took so many pictures, but I will only post a few. In the pictures Lyla got the new Elmo (that is hilarious), a new tricycle, a table and chairs for dry erase markers, a spring horse, and so so so so much more! She isn't spoiled at all, just LOVED ALOT!
Then this evening we headed back home. The roads were pretty crappy. Very low visibility since it was snowing and also blowing and drifting snow. Slow going, but we made it home safe and sound. Hard to tell what we will wake up to tomorrow. Once we got home we got to talk to Bobs parents in PA to wish them a Merry Christmas and also to wish Bob's mom-Rose a Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday Rose!!!! Hard to believe the New Year is just around the corner. Hope you all had a Very Very Merry Christmas!

Bob!

For those of you who don't know my husband, he absolutely loves the snow! I mean he truly loves the snow! Anytime we get any new snow, he gets all bundled up, and outside he goes. So today I just had to take some pictures of him outside having fun. Also today Jagers incision was started to get really swollen and infected looking, so back to the vet we went. Her belly was swelling so much, that her stitches were cutting into her skin. She wasnt suppose to have her stitches out until the 26th, but Dr. Helms decided to take them out today. It is already looking better now. She has definetely been our vet dog!

Cute Squirrel

I think winter is here to stay! I could do without the cold temps as I am sure most you feel and also the critters outside too. Our neighbor has a squirrel feeder and feeds them peanuts daily. So I noticed a really cold squirrel out on the feeder and he was all puffed up (trying to stay warm I'm sure). Just wanted to share! Enjoy today. . . . . Only 4 more days till Christmas!
